Wow, are we almost through another week? Pretty soon I'll be praying for Monday again.
Well, my back is starting to feel better, but this afternoon I have PT again, so we'll see what happens then. I can't believe how much more it irritates my back to put dishes away than to get them down. There were a couple days that I was on the verge of tossing the stoneware and getting cheap plastic dishes. Of course at that point maybe we could have just gone with paper and not bothered with cleaning dishes...
H has gotten into this very kissy stage. It is a little disturbing. If you don't acknowledge him trying to kiss you and kiss him back he puckers his lips waaayyy out and loudly says mmmmmm. He has exercised his kisser so much he can almost kiss you from the next room. More and more I'm wondering if he is Mick Jagger's love child...but that's just an icky thought. He has had a good week though. He got to go to school again this week. I think he's had a nap almost every day. And yesterday he seemed to thoroughly enjoy his lunch with Miss S. They really like to peek under/over/under/over the table.
W may have a short baseball season. We finally got the call from his coach. Practices are Monday and Wednesday. Hmmm, don't we have scouts on Monday??? They aren't at the same time, but that's almost worse. D probably won't be home quite in time to take him. Soo, I guess the plan is for me to drive W and H down to the field, wait for D to get there, then I can drive back home and finish up getting stuff ready for scouts and drive back down to the school for scouts. I'm not liking that plan. This week wasn't as bad because grandpa could take him down to practice and then D went after work. Then I came down for scouts and passed grandpa on his way back to the house. And W was so crabby...because D wouldn't take him to DQ real quick. So, in the 25 minutes between practice and scouts W became so ill from fatigue and neglect that D had to take him home. Of course we found out later that he hasn't been eating his lunch at school. Evidently the name brand buns I've been using for his sandwich are "too fluffy". Good grief.
So, we only had 2 boys and a den chief show up for scouts this week. And then the weather was so nice they wanted to just play outside. When I said no, we had inside stuff to do they told me that I never have anything fun for them to do. Hmm, they seemed to enjoy the edible fire last week. Anyway, this month the theme is Jurassic Pack. So, I made coffee dough and we made fossil tie slides. And they seemed to have a lot of fun with that. And toward the end of the meeting it was noted that the dough looked like dog poo. Then they had so much more fun. You would think the boys would be the worst, but actually one of the moms was the worst offender and making inappropriate items. Anyway, I'm glad to see that as the dough dries it lightens up quite a bit. I could just imagine how jealous the other 5 boys were going to be when they didn't have a poo tie slide to wear with their uniform.
It looks like we will have a decent houseful for Easter Sunday. MandM and her kids will be her. My cousin will be here with his family. His baby is about 1 1/2 now, but I think he probably weighs more than Miss S. He is walking now, so it should be interesting to see how they all interact. Hmmm, I think we will definitely be doing the kids table in the living room.
Anyway, I am off to clean house, do laundry, dread my PT appointment, figure out a shopping list...Or I could have another cup of coffee....
Hope everyone has a good week and a good Easter.
