Where is everyone? I can't believe it's so late in the morning and I am evidently the first one on here.
Before I forget...It's Home Depot Saturday. This months project is the birdhouse that suctions to your window so that if a bird does nest in it, you can have the poo smear down your house...
Well, Monday finally came and I sent W back to school. It went surprisingly well. He was up and ready without much complaining at all. Of course when he got home he had a headache and then and upset stomach...probably because of his headache. So, he took some pepto, went to bed and missed scouts. I was sure he was getting his 4th ear infection of the season, but it may just be he was tired from all the time off as well as not wearing his $200 glasses!! Anyway, he was fine the next morning. Now he's back to his normal crabby self in the mornings.
We had a whopping 3 boys show up for our pack meeting this week. Good grief. With such a small pack, you really notice when a few are gone. Anyway, we did the edible fire and they loved it. They couldn't believe it when I said we were going to have a camp fire...in the cafeteria. We will be doing that again.
We are down to just a couple days left of the candy sale. I'm so happy!! It looks like we will have everything sold, so we get the $100 bonus. Our 7 little guys sold $4,584 worth of chocolate and meat sticks (I still think that's a weird combo). Of course that means I have to set up the aquarium tour plus a movie, but that's fine. The absolute best part is that W sold enough that we don't have to pay any of his $220 in camp fees this year. It would be cool if he could also win the drawing for a $250 gift card of $100 in scout bucks for the scout store for being a top seller.
So H is on his last week of spring break. Why on earth he needs a 2 week break from 2 days a week is beyond me, but oh well. Someone said that the teachers probably just need the extra week because all of their kids are quirky. That could be. Anyway, he's really working on making his own sentences that are longer than 2 words. He's also really getting into singing. I think right now his two favorites are "row, row, row your boat" in the tub and "itsy bitsy spider" if we go outside when it's raining. (come on, you know it's not really always raining here!!)
I think I may have D convinced that I'm really going to PT now and not some day spa. He told me he wanted to go in my place because it sounded fun. Well, it hadn't been that bad. I start out by just doing some neck stretches and then I get the ultrasound down my whole back. That is followed by the deep tissue massage and then e-stem. That's just electrodes stuck on my back while I lay on heating pads. When the turn the juice on, it feels kind of like laying in a hot tub without getting wet. The first time I was in a room and they could turn the light off and close the door so I could relax. Of course since then I've just been behind the hospital type curtains so it's not quite so relaxing. And then there is creepy guy. He makes me thing "Lurch". He has some back issue so he looks like he has a broomstick shoved someplace very uncomfortable. Then he always gets the massage goop in my hair when he's working on my neck. Oh yes, and he always starts out by poking the muscles on my back, neck and shoulders while telling me I'm "so tight" in a somewhat creepy fashion. Anyway, Tuesday he worked over my oblique. OMG, that night my whole back hurt so bad that I felt nauseous. Yesterday I could barely unload the dishwasher. And I have to go back today. Of course my appointment today is with the woman, but creepy guy said that she is actually one of the rougher ones there. Plus, when she pulls her hair into a pony tail she has furry sideburns...but they are on her neck...would they be neckburns then?? I don't know. I'm just concerned for my safety today.
Guess who's home again today. Yep, D is off for another Thursday. Last week he did end up getting a little overtime with only 4 days. If the 3 days off were all together, that's really the best way to work, but they aren't. Plus more often than not he doesn't even get a full 40 hours. Hopefully soon that will change though. He did get a raise though. When he got back from deliveries the boss called him in to the office and asked him to close the door. Hmmm, that's always ominous. So, I think since he wasn't the last hired and they just gave him a raise he's feeling fairly secure.
So, this weekend will be a busy weekend. I have to close out all the paperwork for our candy sale. (I decided it's pointless to attempt to do much ahead of time other than clip and band bills and mark checks for deposits.) Then if I am able to move it's house cleaning time. D's parents will be here sometime this weekend for a week. I'm told that she has unpacked all of her winter clothes in preparation for their summer here.
So, what's everyone doing for Easter. Any exotic city park wildlife on anyones menu? Since we will be having company that weekend I think we are doing the homemade honey baked ham. (And I think D will use the camp stove propane torch set up this time. It has to be cheaper than the kitchen butane thing.) I might make a rum cake or try a new cheesecake recipe. We might have some other side dishes, I don't know. I mean really, with the ham and either a rum cake or cheesecake, do you really need anything else??
Well, I am off to dream of the moment I can take another Motrin and dread going to PT. If I survive I will check back to see if anyone else has blogged later today.

That's awesome that your boys sold so much candy & that W sold enough to get his camp fees paid for!! Keep up the good work!
Any word on the city job? Hopefully that's still a possibility.
Sounds like PT is pretty painful. How long will you have to go??
